Financial Analyst Role

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Goldman Sachs. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting and implementing wealth management strategies for our Private Wealth Management clients in the Australia market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Private Wealth Advisors to develop and implement comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the financial markets and analyze risk and return characteristics to assist in rebalancing client portfolios.
  • Execute client orders and subscriptions across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and alternative investments.
  • Develop and prepare marketing presentations for prospects and clients, highlighting the benefits of our investment products and services.
  • Conduct research on internal and external investment vehicles and trading ideas to provide valuable insights to our clients.
  • Collaborate with various product groups within and outside of the Investment Management Division to respond to client needs and provide exceptional service.
  • Communicate Goldman Sachs research and market views to Private Wealth Advisors and clients, providing them with valuable insights to inform their investment decisions.
  • Provide general client service and team support, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and attention.
  • Assist on projects related to platform development and other infrastructure/process issues, helping to drive business growth and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Experience in dealing with foreign exchange investment-related instruments and a deep understanding of the financial markets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, creative thinking, and a detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and Bloomberg/Reuters, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
