About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientific Officer to join our vibrant and engaged team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing manual and automated diagnostic testing, as well as assisting with stock control and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis
  • Assist with stock control and maintain accurate records
  • Maintain equipment and operate in accordance with protocols
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement
About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a strong background in medical laboratory science, with a Bachelor of Science or equivalent. You will also need to have demonstrated experience and knowledge in the relevant discipline, as well as a strong understanding of quality control and assurance principles.

Requirements
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work
  • AIMS certification as a Medical Scientist (if degree acquired overseas)
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the relevant discipline
  • Sound knowledge of quality control and assurance principles
