A&J Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. The right candidate will possess a positive 'can do' attitude, be highly organised, and have outstanding attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and ensuring safe and efficient electrical engineering operations at all times;
  • Undertaking electrical engineering maintenance and repairs and safety;
  • Identifying faults and utilising trouble shooting skills to identify and implement solutions;
  • Arranging electrical equipment installation and testing the stability;
  • Machine and equipment trouble shooting, including modifying and repairing;
  • Conducting tests of electrical systems related to production machinery and systems;
  • Ensuring maintenance schedules are followed;
  • Reporting of production turnout and downtime, coordination of staff, and safety compliance checks;
  • Assisting electrical engineers as and when required;
  • Completing all mandatory training as required;
  • Ensuring all EH&S daily, weekly, and monthly checks and reporting have been finalised;
  • Successful mentoring and coaching of trainees;
  • Cost analysis for parts repairing/replacement.

Key competencies and skills include:

  • Electrical technician/trade certificate (or proven skills in these areas);
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience;
  • Experience providing out of the box solutions to unique and complex operating problems;
  • Exposure to managing a diverse team or shift in remote or isolated environments;
  • General understanding of blow/injection moulding;
  • General ability to use computers, radios, phones, tablets etc to achieve work outcomes and reporting requirements;
  • Exposure to working in high pressure environments;
  • Physically capable of performing the role;
  • Long periods of sitting and standing;
  • Working within confined spaces and working at heights tickets.
