About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of Defence sector construction, refurbishment, and remediation projects across the Newcastle and Hunter regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive all day-to-day operations and manage onsite activities from set up to completion.
  • Monitor safety compliance and control quality aspects.
  • Oversee cost control and efficient running of the projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and supervise the program to ensure alignment with deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on all documentation and progress.
Requirements
  • Several years' experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry, with Defence construction and refurbishment experience highly regarded.
  • Previous experience managing a portfolio of multiple projects and site-based resources.
  • Outstanding communication skills at all levels, with the ability to form rewarding workplace relationships and negotiate and influence in a positive way.
  • Leadership qualities with a proven ability to develop employees and build strong successful teams.
  • Proficiency in Computer software, including MS Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Trade certification and/or construction management qualifications.
