**Job Overview**

  • The Victorian Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission is a key initiative to promote accountability, conduct, and integrity within the parliament.

This role is a critical component of our efforts to ensure a safe and respectful workplace culture for all individuals involved in the parliamentary process.

As a Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Officer/Commissioner, you will be responsible for establishing, managing, and operating the Commission effectively, ensuring that it functions in accordance with its legislative framework.

You will lead by example, demonstrating high standards of personal conduct, integrity, and professionalism in your interactions with stakeholders, colleagues, and the public.

Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chair in critical decision making and responding to complaints, including driving formal investigations and recommending or imposing sanctions for misconduct.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and management skills, strong strategic direction, and the ability to build solid relationships with diverse stakeholder groups. They should also have a proven track record of inspiring trust and confidence among these groups.

Required skills and qualifications include knowledge or experience in government, community affairs, industrial relations, law, the dynamics of sexual assault and other gender-based violence, public sector governance or administration, ethics, and integrity.

At least one Commissioner is required to have a strong understanding of or experience in an Australian parliamentary workplace. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development, as well as contributing to a more inclusive and equitable workplace culture.
