Job Overview

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centered care and support for individuals with disabilities in the home and community.

You will collaborate with other health professionals to maximise the individual's physical and mental wellbeing.

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Support Workers to provide assistance and support to individuals with complex needs.

This role focuses on providing high intensity support to participants with complex and multiple support requirements, encouraging their independence and self-determination.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to participants with complex needs, including seizure management and personal care
  • Collaborate with a team of health professionals, family, friends, and carers to implement a program of support
  • Respond to crisis situations, including behaviours of concern
  • Promote independent living and assist with daily living tasks

About You:

  • Have experience working with participants with high needs and complex behaviour
  • Possess good communication skills and a commitment to the rights of people with disabilities
  • Be a detail-orientated individual with strong listening and communication skills

Requirements:

  • Proof of working rights in Australia
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance issued in the State of Victoria
  • Employee Working with Children Check card issued in the State of Victoria
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Valid driver's license with access to comprehensively insured vehicle
