Job Description

St Mary's OSHC is a dynamic team that provides education and care for up to 120 children. We believe each child is unique and learns differently, so we focus on creating engaging learning experiences that capture their interest and help them develop new skills.

Our educators spend time getting to know each child and their family to create programs that are tailored to their needs. We offer a flexible, child-initiated program where educators incorporate children's ideas, cultures, and interests into daily planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nurturing care for children
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment
  • Create fun recreational and educational experiences that are inclusive for all
  • Maintain positive relationships with team members
  • Work collaboratively within a team to achieve the best outcomes for children and families
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking individuals who hold a current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and have:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services (or working towards)
  • A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning Framework, and National Law/Regulations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
