Join Our Team as a Service Fitter at Tutt Bryant Hire

Tutt Bryant Hire is one of Australia's leading equipment hire companies, part of the Tutt Bryant Group. We're a dynamic organisation with modern equipment, offering a complete range of earthmoving, access, and general hire equipment.

As a Service Fitter, you'll be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, responsible for preparing machines for hire, undertaking repairs and servicing in a fast-paced mechanical workshop environment.

This role is ideal for someone with previous hands-on experience in the hire industry, particularly those with trade qualifications in diesel fitting or similar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare machines for hire, ensuring they're in excellent working condition
  • Undertake repairs and servicing, using strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, auto electrical, and heavy vehicle systems
  • Work efficiently as part of a strong team, demonstrating a 'can-do' attitude towards all tasks
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and supervisors
  • Adhere to OH&S and QA systems, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Hold a current forklift license or be willing to obtain one

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified diesel fitter or similar
  • Previous experience in equipment hire or a similar industry
  • Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, auto electrical, and heavy vehicle systems
  • Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with minimum supervision
  • High level of organisation skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
