About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our Defence Maintenance Contract team at Amberley, QLD.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WD's, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
- Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
- Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
- Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
- Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
- Open to Light Vehicle Mechanics with demonstrated Heavy vehicle experience
- Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain Light, Medium and Heavy vehicles
- Must possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
- Be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance

What We Offer:
- $41.54 - $43.22 per hour, inclusive of allowances (based on qualifications and skills)
- Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays
