About the Role

As a Vehicle Mechanic with Ventia, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers, and even armoured tanks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Reassemble, test, clean, and adjust repaired or replaced parts
  • Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
  • Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition, and electronic fuel injection
  • Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level, as well as demonstrated experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining light, medium, and heavy vehicles. You must also possess a current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License and be an Australian citizen able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
