Nurse Advocate

- Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
- Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
- Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
- Set up machines and collections equipment
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
- Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
, Job Requirements- A Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
- Ability to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending to set up and pack down machines and blood products
