Community Support Assistant

We are seeking individuals to support people with disabilities in community settings. This role offers a great opportunity for motivated and empathetic individuals to make a positive impact on people's lives.

You will work collaboratively within a diverse team to provide valuable field experience, learning and development opportunities, and flexible hours to suit your study or personal commitments.

A day in this role involves supporting adults with disabilities to engage in community activities, including:

  • Supporting clients to work towards their goals.
  • Engaging in recreation and social activities.
  • Assisting with shopping, appointments, and events.
  • Fostering meaningful relationships.
  • Helping with daily living and personal care such as meal prep, hygiene, and mobility.
About You

We seek individuals with a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to empowering clients and maintaining quality and safeguards. You should possess:

  • A positive approach, initiative, and self-motivation.
  • Effective communication skills and good English literacy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Willingness to support clients with personal care activities.
  • Australian Driver Licence.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification if not already certified.

Qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Disability, relevant experience, or interest in community services are advantageous. If you lack these, don't worry—we offer excellent training and support, including opportunities to work and study.

You will be subject to an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
