Job Opportunity: A Postdoctoral Research Associate is sought to join the Tectonics and Earth Systems Group at the University of Adelaide.

The successful candidate will work on Proterozoic sedimentary basins in various locations, including Australia, India, and other relevant areas, to understand both the palaeo-environmental evolution and unravel the redox structure of the water column.

The project involves investigating the middle to late Proterozoic marine water chemistry and its implications for the evolving earth system as part of a larger ambitious research program to investigate the intersection of plate tectonics, critical metals, and Earth's habitability.

The post requires a sedimentary geologist with experience and interest in Proterozoic geology, undertaking field-based sedimentary geology, and demonstrated expertise in sedimentary geochemistry.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD or Equivalent Degree in Earth Sciences
