Job Description:

We are seeking a State Manager to join our team in Brisbane.

The Transaction Banking business provides specialist expertise to assist our customers within Commercial Banking, with their working capital and cash flow management needs and generates opportunities across multiple transaction banking products.

Our products and services include the suite of Business Accounts, Merchant Solutions, BPAY, Direct Debit and Corporate Cards.

You will focus on the Commercial Banking segment to identify and generate new sales. In addition, you will manage a team of professionals, working closely to grow the existing portfolio and market share.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing strong relationships with key clients to gain a better understanding of their business
  • Actively supporting Commercial Banking teams in optimising cross-sell and client retention opportunities
  • Developing productive working relationships with Leaders and Relationship Executives to optimise new business opportunities
  • Demonstrating superior solution focus aligned with the client's needs and focus on exceeding business objectives and revenue growth targets
  • Planning and executing risk-mitigating procedures. On a regular basis, reporting and discussing the results of risk management performed within the business
  • Displaying a determination to build a high performance culture within the team

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong track record of high quality sales, relationship management and stakeholder management capability
  • Ability to develop, maintain and manage strong working relationships with business partners, peers and staff
  • Experience running a successful client-facing sales business in a financial institution
  • Strong Transactional Banking product knowledge
  • Authentic leadership and the ability to take your team on a journey to become the best team in the market
  • Energy and resilience, with a demonstrated capability in achieving outstanding business results
  • Proven coaching and mentoring experience, and the ability to build and drive a strong team culture
