As a Parent Mentor, you will work closely with parents and guardians to address any challenges or concerns within their immediate family, enabling them to focus on their future and identify areas of interest and set career goals.

","Key Responsibilities": "
  • Provide person-centred case management for eligible parents with young children
  • Address vocational and non-vocational needs
  • Support parents' aspirations through tailored expertise and referring parents to internal and external services where required
  • Engage with community organisations to develop strong opportunities
  • Practice an empathetic approach towards parents and their circumstances to help build trusted relationships and achieve positive outcomes
","Requirements": "
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Empathy and trauma awareness
  • Ability to effectively work with a culturally diverse range of parents, employers, education and community service providers, and staff
  • Excellent writing skills to write resumes, cover letters, assessments, referrals and case notes
  • Strong Labour Market knowledge
  • A minimum Certificate III in a relevant field or Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or demonstrated equivalent experience and willingness to work towards a relevant Certificate III or IV qualification
