About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of employee payments.

Job Description

This is a 12 month contract position working Monday to Friday at our Fortescue Centre office. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role with high volume data entry and validation. You will also have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as well as intermediate MS Excel skills.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret Awards and ensure compliance with relevant Federal and State legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing salaries and standard allowances, Change of Conditions, terminations and incentive payments
  • Administration and reconciliation of employee leave entitlements as well as employee deductions including payments to external parties
  • Administration of employee superannuation in accordance with relevant legislation including remittance via web portal
  • Maintaining confidentiality of payroll data with respect to privacy legislation
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar Payroll Officer role
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Demonstrated commitment of customer service, confidentiality & continuous improvement
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits package, including a generous superannuation scheme and opportunities for professional development.
