Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our multidisciplinary team in providing specialist services to patients. This includes providing medical support and management as required, promoting patient safety and quality of care, and leading, orienting, training, supervising and educating doctors in training and other health workers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric medicine, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist services to patients.
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and policies to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality improvement activities to ensure compliance with clinical standards.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to achieve national, state and performance standards and targets.
  • Work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

The successful applicant will be required to work at various hours for an extended period and may be required to work at short notice.

Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Strong background in geriatric medicine.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
