Actuarial Leadership Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality portfolio analysis to senior management teams, actuarial executives, and their key customers in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement strategies that contribute to portfolio growth and profitability.
  • Lead technical pricing solution development, including cost models, conversion and renewal models, and model monitoring infrastructure.
  • Develop internal and external data assets for pricing and market insights and solutions.
  • Utilise Radar for scenario testing, impact analysis, and rate updates.
  • Analyse data to assist senior actuaries in producing the annual business plan.
  • Present technical results to internal stakeholders, including senior management and front-line business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine processes, solve challenges, and drive continuous improvement in a data-driven environment.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 5-7 years relevant actuarial work experience in the insurance industry.
  • Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or equivalent.
  • Strong data analytics capabilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage competing projects, meet deadlines, and manage staff. Experience with SQL, EMBLEM, RADAR advantageous.
