Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Education Assistant Principal to join our team at Wilson Park School. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of inclusive education programs for students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of inclusive education programs for students with disabilities
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality education and support services for students
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and support
  • Manage and coordinate resources and services to support students with disabilities

Requirements

  • Approval to teach special education and/or demonstrated successful experience teaching students with an intellectual disability, autism, and/or challenging behaviors
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage technology resources and utilize technology as a tool to support student access to the curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents
