About the Role

The Australian Government Solicitor (AGS) is seeking a highly experienced dispute resolution lawyer to join our Dispute Resolution practice. As a Senior Executive Lawyer, you will have primary carriage of complex competition and consumer law cases, financial services and corporate regulatory law cases, or other regulatory litigation matters.

You will supervise the work of others and develop and mentor junior colleagues, effectively represent Commonwealth agencies in dealings with other parties, witnesses, counsel, and courts, and provide a high standard of client service and maintain strong senior client relationships.

This role will suit a highly experienced dispute resolution lawyer with expertise in complex competition and consumer law, financial services and corporate regulatory law, or other regulatory litigation. The successful candidate will ideally have at least 10 years' PQE experience managing civil regulatory litigation, expertise in complex regulatory litigation, and a proven track record in working closely with clients to achieve strong regulatory outcomes.

About You

You will be a highly experienced dispute resolution lawyer with a strong track record in managing complex regulatory litigation cases. You will have excellent professional judgement, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with influence and build client relationships.

You will work collaboratively in an inclusive environment where everyone's contribution is valued, and success is rewarded. We offer our lawyers commercially competitive remuneration packages, including 15.4% superannuation.
