About the Opportunity

Located in the heritage-listed St Cecilia's school building, our centre combines modern facilities with a charming atmosphere that fosters a sense of community among children. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging educational experiences that promote the well-being and development of children aged 6 months to kindergarten age.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team on a part-time basis (30 hours per week) at an hourly rate of $27.49 for Certificate III qualified educators and $30.07 for Diploma qualified educators (negotiable). Key Responsibilities
  • Create enjoyable recreational and educational experiences for children that cater to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment that supports the overall well-being of children.
  • Collaborate effectively with the established team to ensure seamless communication and delivery of high-quality education and care services.
  • Pursue ongoing professional and personal development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to promoting the service within the local community by embodying Catholic Early EdCare's values and philosophy.
Requirements
  • Holds a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or working towards) OR an equivalent qualification recognized by ACECQA.
  • Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices, including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality education and care services in a play-based learning environment.
  • Effective workplace communication skills.
