About the PositionWe are seeking an Aboriginal Outreach Worker to support the delivery of health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This role involves improving access to health care, health screening, chronic disease management, and health promotion.
Key Responsibilities- Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be an active member within the local Aboriginal community.
- Have completed a Certificate III or IV in Aboriginal Health Work or other health-related discipline, or be willing to work towards it.
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people and their health.
- Have the ability to effectively engage and communicate sensitively with Aboriginal people to address their health needs.
- Flexible work arrangements to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
