About The Salvation Army Aged Care

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical supervision and coordinate the delivery of safe, effective, and individualised care to our care recipients and their families.

As a Nursing Care Specialist with The Salvation Army Aged Care, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing relevant documentation in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care needs of residents.
  • Maintaining good clinical records and accurate documentation to ensure legal adequacy and AN-ACC requirements.
  • Maintaining appropriate ordering, management, and administration of medications in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Complying with the conditions, amendments, and regulations of related acts, such as the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1996.
  • Liaising with doctors and other health professionals and following directions for administration of medications and treatments in accordance with legislative guidelines.
  • Completing necessary reports, care plans, and other documentation required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • An understanding, empathy, appreciation, and ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.
  • Demonstrated aged care experience, the ability to work as part of a team, and promote education and leadership in aged care.
  • Understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Experience in developing care plans.
  • An understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • An understanding of AN-ACC.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated well-developed computer and documentation skills.
  • National NDIS worker screening check.
