Job Title: Home-Based Child Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Home-Based Child Support Specialist to join our team and provide critical support to children, young people, and families outside of regular business hours.

As a Home-Based Child Support Specialist, you will work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and young people, as well as external stakeholders, to respond to emergent issues and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming after-hours enquiries in a professional and efficient manner, using effective communication and key practice models such as CARE and TCI (training provided)
  • Provide guidance and direction to staff and carers in line with client plans and assessments
  • Undertake risk assessments and planning in lieu of the above
  • Problem-solve alongside young people to emergent issues outside of business hours, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Build relationships with carers in an effective and timely manner, working in partnership to support after-hours calls

Working Arrangements:

Shift times may vary due to national coverage and time differences. Fortnightly rosters will vary between 15-60 hours per fortnight. Individual roster lines will be discussed at interview stage.
