Accounting Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team as a Senior Accountant. This role offers the chance to shape the way we do things and be part of a dynamic accounting and tax practice.

The ideal candidate will have 4-5+ years of Australian business services experience, including time at least at the senior accountant level. They should possess strong skills in the Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel, and Xero, Practice Manager, and other accounting software.

This is a part-time opportunity, around 20-30 hours/week, with flexibility in total hours for the right candidate. The role is remote, with potential to grow as we grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns to review stage, including detailed working papers for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, and SMSFs.
  • Conduct management accounting and strategic planning activities such as budgeting, forecasting, tax planning and business structuring.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and state-based tax returns such as payroll tax.
  • Research and consult on tax issues and draft tax advice.
  • Liaise with clients, professionals, and authorities to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Requirements:
  • 4-5+ years Australian business services experience, including time at least at the senior accountant level.
  • Ability to manage accounting and tax compliance jobs from start to finish.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
