Job Title">

A key role in our Site management team, based in Albury. This hands-on operational position is responsible for all Tomra machinery across three sites located in Altona, Laverton, and Albury.

This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth commissioning and ongoing operation of the Tomra machines, including preventative and emergency maintenance. The incumbent will also be responsible for training systems Maintenance teams in the safe and effective use of the robotic system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for the Tomra machinery, planning and execution, ensuring smooth commissioning, and ongoing operation, including preventative and emergency maintenance.
  • Training of systems Maintenance teams in the safe and effective use of the robotic system.
  • Ensuring adherence to WHSE standards throughout all phases.
  • Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing engineering strategy with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery, maximising efficiency, optimising, and driving engineering excellence.
  • Implementing and managing continuous improvement principles.
  • Driving a culture of preventative maintenance from day one.
  • Ensuring reliability and maintainability of the Tomra machine at or above target levels.
  • Reporting of maintenance and performance of the Tomra machine.
  • Conducting root cause analysis and investigations of safety incidents.
  • Implementing appropriate management systems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant automation and mechanical qualifications.
  • At least 3 years' experience installing, commissioning, maintaining, and managing servicing of Tomra machines.
  • Previous experience in Recycling with modern recycling equipment.
  • Superior communication skills and the ability to lead across all levels.
  • Experience in budget preparation and ownership.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing external third-party employees.
