Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations and Maintenance Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of our buildings, encompassing head office and 10 branches across Suffolk.

  • Oversee building maintenance, health and safety, and relationships with third-party contractors.
  • Lead and supervise facilities operations to meet the needs of employees, visitors, and members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily facilities operations across all sites, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
  • Implement, monitor, and deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and coordinate reactive repairs.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to uphold health, safety, security, and building standards.

Health and Safety Compliance

  • Act as the responsible person for health and safety across all locations in line with UK legislation.
  • Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date risk assessments, fire safety arrangements, and emergency procedures are in place.
  • Promote a culture of safety through near-miss reporting and relevant training.

Project Management

  • Plan, lead, and execute projects to deliver on time, within budget, and in compliance with health and safety standards.

Sustainability and Environmental Targets

  • Identify and lead initiatives to reduce carbon footprint across all operations.
  • Monitor energy usage and identify opportunities for improvement.

Budget and Financial Oversight

  • Manage annual facilities budget.
  • Ensure cost-effective procurement and value for money across facilities spend.

Contract and Vendor Management

  • Manage third-party suppliers and service contracts.
