Data Insights Specialist

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the migration to a full acquirer stack managed by Fidelity Information Services as part of its Merchant Modernisation program. Your role will involve conducting deep-dive analysis into customer, transaction, and product data to support migration readiness and identify remediation needs.

You will design and maintain migration tracking tools, exception reports, and risk flags, collaborate with product and operations teams to resolve data discrepancies or transformation logic, validate source-target mapping across legacy and new systems, ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with governance rules, and partner with Data Management teams on standard definitions and lineage tracking.

Additionally, you will lead data mapping activities between legacy and target systems, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements, build and validate files (or equivalent migration input files) to support phased customer transitions, coordinate with developers and testers to ensure data mapping logic is accurately implemented and quality assured, automate data processing pipelines and reporting workflows using Python and SQL, build modular scripts and parameterized frameworks for batch processing and auditing, develop interactive dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Streamlit to provide stakeholders with real-time insights, and design scalable reporting solutions for tracking remediation progress, and migration waves.

Furthermore, you will translate technical outputs into clear business insights for senior stakeholders, facilitate discussions with multiple teams, write business-friendly documentation for data logic, assumptions, and findings, and present data-driven narratives clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Specialist in Financial Services, proven experience supporting data migrations, system transitions, or customer remediation programs, experience working in a highly structured, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, and experience in regulated environments with strong data controls.

• Technical Skills: Advanced scripting for automation, ETL, remediation checks, and data transformation using Python; expert-level SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimisation; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Streamlit for data visualisation; advanced Excel/Sheets formulas, pivots, lookups, and formatting for business consumption; proficiency in Git for collaborative development and version tracking; and exposure to AWS SageMaker.
