Job Title: Maintenance Planner

Job Description

The primary objective of the Maintenance Planner is to ensure the seamless operation of equipment and facilities within a mining or heavy industry setting. This involves planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities in a manner that minimizes downtime, maximizes efficiency, and ensures compliance with safety regulations.

Maintenance planners play a critical role in the success of any organization. They must be able to analyze complex systems, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions to maintain optimal performance. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and procurement, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.

As a maintenance planner, your duties will include:

  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing maintenance plans to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and facilities.
  • Utilizing MS Project Professional to plan and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all maintenance activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner in the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Expertise in MS Project, with a strong understanding of its maintenance planning modules.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
