Job Description:

As a lifeguard, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of pool patrons. This includes maintaining surveillance of the pool area, responding promptly to emergencies, and enforcing pool rules and regulations. You will also be responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks and contributing to the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with patrons, colleagues, and management is essential. This includes speaking clearly and politely, as well as being able to respond to emergency situations.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification: You must hold a current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certificate. This demonstrates your commitment to providing high-quality care and ensures that you are equipped to handle any situation that may arise.
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate: A current Pool Lifeguard Certificate is also required. This indicates that you have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform your duties safely and effectively.
  • National Police Check: A national police check is mandatory for this position. This helps to ensure that all applicants are suitable for the role and do not have any convictions that may impact their ability to work with vulnerable populations.
