Payroll Manager - Sydney Office - Permanent Full Time
The reliability of Domain's payroll operations is essential for our ability to execute our marketplace strategy and maintain employee satisfaction. Reporting to the Head of Shared Services and Reward, the Payroll Manager will offer strategic guidance, oversight, and direction for the Payroll function while enhancing operational efficiency and managing associated risks within this vital organizational area.
This position is accountable for the proficient and effective administration of the payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with statutory regulations and Company policies across various geographical regions.
The role will guarantee financial precision, robust governance, and high employee morale and trust. It will be critical in managing and mitigating risks while ensuring that Domain's payroll strategy remains relevant and adapts to the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the complete payroll process, ensuring that governance and compliance standards are upheld across all regions (Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines) in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiencies within the payroll operating model, aligning with the overall business strategy. Enhance reporting capabilities, delivering insightful analyses to support business decisions. Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the payroll team, fostering a culture of growth and professional development. Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in leading and facilitating positive transformations in payroll processes, systems, and data management. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring and developing a high-performing team. Collaborative thinking skills for developing optimization strategies within the payroll operating model, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. Comprehensive knowledge of payroll compliance and governance, with effective risk management capabilities. Excellent analytical skills to enhance reporting capabilities and provide actionable insights. Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing large-scale change initiatives to drive efficiency and optimization. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
