About This Opportunity

Are you looking to launch your career in laboratory services? We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Trainee Laboratory Services. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to develop a range of skills in laboratory techniques through formal and on-the-job learning activities.

This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience working with a variety of laboratory operations across different industry sectors. You will perform straightforward sampling and testing, follow established procedures and recipes, and apply well-developed technical skills and basic scientific knowledge.

This role offers a unique combination of theoretical and practical training, which will equip you with the skills and confidence to succeed in this field. You will be supported by our experienced team and provided with opportunities for professional growth and development.

About The Role
  • This position involves undertaking a competency-based traineeship to develop skills in laboratory techniques.
  • You will work under close supervision to complete a 2-year Cert III in Laboratory Services at a recognized training institution.
  • You will be responsible for performing sampling and testing tasks, following procedures and recipes, and applying technical skills and basic scientific knowledge.
About You
  • Willingness to promote a positive safety culture and adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Minimum completion of Year 10 with passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Current Working with Children Clearance or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of Queensland C class provisional drivers' licence or ability to obtain.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
