Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

This role is a vital part of ensuring that environmental compliance and sustainability practices are effectively managed within the Defence Fuels Network Maintenance Contract environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in environmental management, ideally within the fuel or energy industry. A strong knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental impact assessments, and sustainability practices is also essential.

About the Role

This is a key position that involves developing and implementing environmental management systems to minimize the impact of Defence Fuel Installation operations on the environment. The successful candidate will conduct baseline assessments and risk evaluations to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement. They will also advise on best practices for pollution prevention, waste management, and environmental conservation at Defence Fuel Installations.

  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including air and water quality, emissions, and waste disposal practices.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in environmental management, ideally within the fuel or energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, environmental impact assessments, and sustainability practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen for Defence Clearance purposes.
