Inventory Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and organised individual to coordinate the ordering, receipt, storage, and maintenance of stock levels and inventory in line with company purchasing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor inventory levels and raise requisitions for stock replenishment using daily reports.
  • Receive, inspect, and store stock items, ensuring accuracy, quality, and secure handling at all times.
  • Prepare and stage parts and inventory for planned maintenance tasks, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Maintain an organised, safe, and efficient store layout, including rotatable assets and consumables.
  • Perform regular stocktakes, rolling checks, and maintain accurate inventory records in the stock control system.
  • Support workshop staff with locating parts, issuing tools and PPE, and assisting with contractor services.
  • Process purchase orders, delivery dockets, receipts, dispatches, and returns in line with procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in purchasing, storekeeping, and inventory control within a maintenance or workshop environment.
  • Sound understanding of mechanical, electrical, and terminal support systems and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of stock control, auditing, and invoice processing procedures.
  • Proficient in using computerised inventory systems and highly skilled in MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone technique.
  • Physically fit to meet required pre-employment medical standards.
