Job Overview

A mental health inpatient unit is seeking a skilled registered nurse to provide person-centered care and supervision to less experienced clinicians.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualized patient care.
  • Supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care.
  • Effectively prioritize and organize workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.
  • Maintain competence and enhance skills through ongoing professional development.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a registered nurse.
  • Demonstrated competencies in providing nursing care in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team.
  • Recent clinical experience relevant to the position.
