Cyber Security Expert Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the response to cyber-attacks and improving threat intelligence capabilities.

As a key member of our team, you will lead the investigation of security breaches, implement countermeasures, and analyse activity on our organisation's servers, networks, and cloud environment to identify vulnerabilities and implement safeguards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of technical security incident response from initiation to conclusion.
  • Assess the nature of the incident and determine what resources are needed to resolve the situation and restore service.
  • Coordinate all efforts to contain and resolve the incident.
  • Lead communications and conference calls with the team, stakeholders, customers, and others to provide updates.
  • Document all activities occurring during the incident following policy and using established methodologies.
  • Conduct a root cause analysis for each incident to define follow-up action items and make recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Experience in handling cyber security incident response and threat intelligence.
  • Able to mentor and develop a growing team, with experience working in an international environment.
  • Proven ability to crisis management and the ability to perform effectively under pressure, providing calm guidance during cybersecurity incidents.
  • Minimum 5 years of information security or cybersecurity experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of business risk, risk assessment, and risk-based decision making.
  • Able to communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (in business terms), including board level stakeholders.
