Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

This is a key position in our organization that requires someone who can provide expert advice and guidance on cybersecurity matters. You will be responsible for researching and evaluating procedural and technical controls to ensure the security of our IT networks and systems.

  • You will manage the queue of requests via initial telephone/email support for issues assigned to the Cyber Security GRC team.
  • You will identify technological trends and develop reports to keep IDS management apprised of information security threats and planned equipment or software changes that could impact system and network security and availability.
  • You will support and assist with the ongoing application of the IDS Risk Register; identifying and managing key risks that may impact on the security of our systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Function: Provide initial telephone/email support for issues assigned to the Cyber Security GRC team.
  • Trend Identification: Identify technological trends and develop reports to keep IDS management informed.
  • Risk Management: Support and assist with the ongoing application of the IDS Risk Register.
Requirements
  • A degree in computer science, business technology, or other relevant qualifications.
  • Experience in providing security advice and guidance in relation to IT projects and explaining complex technical or security issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to interact and collaborate positively and effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
