Sydney WHS Professional Wanted for Independent School

Located in the heart of Sydney's lower North Shore, one of the city's leading independent schools is seeking a skilled and experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) professional to join their team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and continually improving a comprehensive WHS Management System that aligns with ISO 45001 standards and meets the requirements of the NSW WHS Act and Regulations.
- Develop and implement a risk management strategy that prioritises risks, develops mitigation strategies and mentors key stakeholders in WHS compliance.
- Review and enhance existing compliance systems and programs to create value and protect the school's assets related to WHS.
- Oversee the implementation of the WHS Management System and provide regular reports on its effectiveness in achieving WHS objectives.
We are looking for a forward-thinking and passionate leader with a genuine enthusiasm for Risk and Compliance from a strategic and operational level.
- Hold qualifications in WHS Management or Business Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and application of WHS and Australian risk management and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain effective workplace relationships.
- Demonstrated skills in managing multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
