Senior Mechanical Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing mechanical projects and providing technical advice on design.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of engineers and draftspersons in the design and implementation of multiple mechanical projects.
  2. Provide technical guidance on mechanical design, including preparation of detailed output documents.
  3. Responsible for the detailed design of all mechanical systems and sub-systems.
  4. Support tender processes and provide basic estimate support.
  5. Procure materials and equipment.
  6. Liaise with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  7. Support testing and commissioning activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. A degree qualification in mechanical or mechatronic engineering.
  2. Senior/Principal level mechanical engineering experience with CPEng certification.
  3. Experience in industrial, heavy industry, or power generation sectors.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong reporting writing skills.
  7. Natural initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Driver's license.
  9. International applicants must hold valid work rights for Australia.
