Job Role: Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and supportive individual to join our team as a teacher assistant. This is a part-time position, working 5 days per week from 9am to 3:30pm.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will assist the classroom teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. Key responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, implementation, and review, providing individualized support to students with diverse needs, maintaining accurate student records, and coordinating educational activities and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to develop engaging lesson plans and implement teaching strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the classroom teacher in preparing educational materials, resources, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Ed Support Level 1-Range 2 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of educational software, including learning management systems and other digital tools.

Working Arrangements:

This is a part-time position, working 5 days per week from 9am to 3:30pm. The successful applicant will be required to attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as directed by the school.
