About the Role

The Maintenance Officer will play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and contribute to the well-being of our residents. As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facility, creating a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

Main Responsibilities

  • Attend to general maintenance tasks as directed, including gardening as required.
  • Check maintenance logs and prioritize tasks, coordinating contractors to attend as needed.
  • Under the guidance of the Home Manager, plan and schedule maintenance across the home.
  • Order and store stock as required.
  • Ensure the timely action of hazards, incidents, and other events that involve the maintenance function.

About You

  • Experience in maintenance or gardening roles.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer-focused services.
  • Driver's license Class.
  • Previous experience and understanding of aged care, including retirement village or independent living settings.
  • Trade qualifications and/or experience.
