Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Consultant to join our Adelaide office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of projects, from small-scale to large-scale, requiring a broad knowledge and understanding of engineering methods and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out technical tasks, including accuracy in calculations, data analysis, modeling, and design, involving large data sets.
  • Work on a wide range of projects, including environmental noise monitoring, building acoustics, 3D computer noise modeling, numerical analysis of results, and associated reporting.
  • Mentor and guide junior-level staff.
  • Develop business development skills to bring influence to the breadth and range of projects the team works on.
Requirements
  • A relevant bachelor's degree (ideally mechanical or electrical engineering, environmental engineering, or science) or postgraduate degree in acoustics.
  • 10+ years' experience in a consulting environment (we will also consider more or less experienced consultants).
  • Demonstrated experience in building acoustics and environmental noise assessment.
  • Experience with noise monitoring equipment and 3D computer noise models (e.g., SoundPLAN) is desirable.
  • A proven record of high-level project delivery is favorable.
