Child Development Therapist

Early Start Australia is a national multidisciplinary allied health organisation committed to delivering evidence-based early intervention and therapy services to children and their families. We are seeking a Child Development Therapist to join our team in Hindmarsh, SA.

We offer a competitive salary package with an estimated annual salary of $85,000 - $110,000 AUD based on experience and qualifications. Our therapists enjoy flexible working hours, offering permanent part-time or full-time employment, and have access to additional professional leave days, a professional development budget, monthly in-house training, and regular supervision.

About the Role

As a Child Development Therapist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based assessment and therapy to a paediatric caseload. Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Assessment and intervention sessions with a mixed caseload;
  • Administering assessments and providing direct and indirect intervention, liaising with families, teachers, professionals, and support staff;
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver quality, evidence-based outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline;
  • A passion for making a difference with a focus on making therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful for families;
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable you to work in a culturally rich and diverse environment and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment;
  • Effective time management and attention to detail;
  • Experience in working with children and/or disability and confidence in your role with children and their parents;
  • Compliance – AHPRA Registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate, First Aid Training, Driver's License & Vehicle.
