Workforce Development Specialist

About Children's Ground is a First Nations organisation prioritising the dignity, justice, and equity of all children and families. We focus on national reform and developing new ways of working.

The Children's Ground Approach centres on learning, development, and wellbeing through whole-of-community, whole-of-life principles. This approach privileges First Nations knowledge systems and practice to create an integrated system responding to the child and their family from pre-birth to young adulthood.

This role will contribute to programs removing barriers to meaningful employment for First Nations people. You will support initiatives including compliance, onboarding, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a pre-employment program focused on compliance and on-the-job training.
  • Contribute to workplace support structures.
  • Assist in delivering literacy workshops and coordinating in-house training sessions.
  • Maintain records around data collection and reporting.

To be successful, you need strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, as well as attention to detail. You must be confident using MS Office and online systems.
