Arc @ UNSW is one of Australia's premier student organisations, dedicated to enhancing the student experience through a variety of services, opportunities, and events.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Executive Officer to oversee a range of responsibilities from high-level executive assistance to strategic project oversight, ensuring our organisation operates efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Co-Company Secretary duties: Ensure adherence to legal standards and maintain precise records for governance.
- Administrative leadership: Organise Board meetings, manage documentation, and assist with financial oversight.
- Initiative development: Coordinate projects and collaborate with different departments to ensure timely and successful execution.
- Executive and operational assistance: Support the CEO, manage correspondence, and facilitate both internal and external communications.
You will play a crucial role in connecting various elements of our organisation, from coordinating Board meetings to fostering effective interdepartmental communication. Additionally, you will engage with our vibrant student community, supporting events and initiatives that positively impact campus life.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Prior experience in Governance or as a Company Secretary
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities with a capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience in crafting complex documents and reports.
- Proven experience in project management and committee support, with a history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Advanced proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable: Experience within the higher education or not-for-profit sectors.
