Our team is passionate about providing support and care to those in need, and we are seeking a skilled Carer Assessor, Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator to join our team in Townsville.

About the Role

The Carer Assessor, Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator will play a critical role in facilitating and completing the recruitment and assessment process of carer applicants. This involves responding to enquiries, maintaining contact during the consideration phase, and conducting initial phone interviews. The successful candidate will also support and guide carers through required training and deliver training modules as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete carer assessments in accordance with Life Without Barriers standards and procedures.
  • Recruit Foster Carers from the general community through advertisements, media outlets, and evening carer information sessions.
  • Identify training requirements, safety concerns, and placement issues throughout the assessment process and provide feedback and recommendations.
  • Support and encourage potential carers to apply a reflective, critical thinking analysis of how the caring role will impact their life, family, and relationships.
  • Contribute to the regular corporate review of assessment and review tools to ensure they are focused on children's outcomes and align with the CARE model and relevant government standards.
Requirements
  • Recognised Social Work qualifications with eligibility for membership of the AASW and/or a Bachelor of Psychology or other relevant qualification with significant case work experience.
  • Current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
  • Ability to work as part of a virtual team and identify areas of concern within a foster care and/or disability home based care environment.
