The Rural Generalist Program offers a unique opportunity for early career Occupational Therapists to gain diverse clinical experience while working in rural communities.

As a motivated Occupational Therapist, you will have ongoing support from local supervisors and regular catch-ups with the Program Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide culturally responsive services in a community setting
  • Develop effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Commit to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement

Our program is designed to provide a supportive environment for early career Occupational Therapists to grow and develop their skills. Regular clinical supervision and mentoring opportunities are available, as well as dedicated time for professional development.

Each participant will have the opportunity to implement a Quality Improvement Project, supported by Senior staff. This project will enable you to demonstrate your ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.

We encourage creativity and continuous improvement, with each participant taking ownership of their learning journey. Our team is committed to providing a collaborative and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.
