About the Role

This role involves implementing and maintaining an effective environmental management system. The EMS Specialist will work closely with various teams to update the EMS and integrate it with a new digital platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain an effective EMS, including subsidiary systems
  • Work closely with the Environment Manager, Environmental Compliance Manager, and other business leaders
  • Update the EMS and integrate it with a new digital platform, HSE4me

  • A high level of environment technical skills
  • Problem solving and business acumen
  • Self-motivation and strong people skills

Requirements

  • Relevant degree-level tertiary qualification
  • Extensive professional experience in environmental management and climate change
  • Experience in identifying, reporting, and managing environmental incidents
  • Understanding of critical international and state-based climate change policies and programs
  • A thorough understanding of climate change adaptation and mitigation approaches
