Job Profile

Senior Environmental Approvals Specialists play a pivotal role in ensuring projects adhere to rigorous environmental standards.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Approvals Specialist to join our team on the M80 Ring Road Completion project.

As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and Commonwealth environmental approvals, regulations, and Environmental Performance Requirements (EPRs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and associated procedures.
  • Lead environmental monitoring strategies, compile monthly reports, and maintain accurate environmental records.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits, as well as perform regular inspections to assess environmental and sustainability performance.
  • Identify environmental risks, implement mitigation strategies, and assist with incident reporting and follow-up.
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, regulatory authorities, and community groups to support environmental objectives and approvals.
Requirements:
  • Experience managing environmental approvals and compliance on a major infrastructure project.
  • Relevant Environment, Project Management, Planning Qualification.
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
