Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team at the Exchange Hotel Kalgoorlie. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

• Assist the Chef in the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen, including food production, stock control, and waste management.
• Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure efficient delivery of food to guests.
• Operate kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service.
• Work with the Chef to advance and improve current food operations, including menu development and food safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to food safety policies and procedures.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service.

We offer a competitive salary range of $63,000 to $76,000, commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience. As a member of our team, you can expect opportunities for training and career advancement within the business.
